Quite the Spook
It was a beautiful fall day, the sun shining and a nice breeze was going making the leaves fall off the tree every which way.
Pumpkin, a bright orange and navy Ribina, had decided to make the best of the weather and beauty before the snow and winter hit the area. Pumpkin bundled up slightly due to the light wind going about and put on a scarf with a sweater that matched the scarf that had been put on.
Pumpkin, happy about the weather with all the leaves falling, decided to walk a trail nearby that was decorated with jack-o-lanterns and fallen leaves due to the Halloween season passing on.
While walking the beautiful trail with all the jack-o-lanterns and spooky like trees, Pumpkin comes across a small teenage Ribina with blue spots on their cheeks and some vein looking items on their back and some coming off the tail. The little Ribina had been hiding and seemed like they wanted to play a prank on Pumpkin as they seemed to have been giggling in a hushed manner and trying to hide behind a few larger size Jack-o-lanterns.
The teenage Ribina forced themself to calm enough to not be too noticeable as Pumpkin got closer and they hid the best they could but the tail poked out the side of the jack-o-lanterns, in plain sight. But deciding to amuse the young Ribina they acted as if they didn't notice the little one hiding away from sight.Once Pumpkin had gotten close enough to the young Ribina had jumped out and said a loud ‘BOO’ to spook the fellow Ribina.
Pumpkin, deciding to amuse the Ribina more, let out a soft yelp-like sound to act as if they had gotten spooked. The little Ribina laughed and said “Gotcha!” With some laughs as they looked very pleased with themself. “It's just me! I'm no monster!’ The little ribina said with some laughs and Pumpkin shook there head. “You got me very well! You quite successfully spooked me! You were hiding so well!” Pumpkin said laughing a bit. “What's your name, little one? Where's your mother?” Pumpkin questioned the young Ribina who smiles a bit happily. “I'm Stormy! My mom is just up a little ways! Spending some alone time by the river.” The little Ribina mentioned as Stormy started to walk beside Pumpkin on the trail. “Well why don't i walk you back to your mom so you dont get lost?” Pumpkin said and the little one nodded a bit and followed after Pumpkin.
They both stayed quiet and enjoyed the small breeze with the leaves falling to the ground, Stormy pounced on some of the leaves in a playful manner.
After a while another Ribina was spotted in the distance and Stormy said their goodbyes and ran off to their mother. Giving a small wave of their tail as another goodbye toward Pumpkin.
Pumpkin smiles, happy to have made a small one’s day, they soon finished up their walk, then headed back home, having a nice cup of coffee to wind the day down.
