[OrbitPearl] The Pearl's Heart
After the human from before had disappeared from sight, Celeste quickly bolted down the unexplored path before her. The magic around her seemed to be stronger and more concentrated. She must be getting close to the source of magic within. Each step seemed to become more difficult. She worried what would happen should she intrude on this magical location. After all, the homes of Ribinas were dangerous, it would not be surprising if Envis hadn’t found a way to infect this sacred space. She soon reached an opening within the hall. A bright glowing object lay within the center of this room. She took a step closer, realizing this was the source of the magic in this room. It looked simple, and then she realized it was the pearl!
Celeste looks upon the shining pearl in awe. She has seen this before, when visiting the cave with her owner. This magical pearl gifted her owner many flitters in the times she had seen it before. It possessed an aura of great power, the light it gave off reflecting across the caves walls. Each gem seems to feed on its magic, glowing even brighter the closer Celeste got to the pearl. She reached out, ever hesitant to touch such a strong magical object. Her breath hitched as she felt it seeming to possess a warm pulse to it. Like a heartbeat, it seemed to throb with sheer power. Was this what the elders had envisioned?
She needn’t think any harder as she lost her footing. As she fell, her paws seemed to graze the pearl. Nothing happened at first. She let out a breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding. She knew it wouldn’t cause her harm, as she felt the fur on her paws seeming to stand on end as they tingled from the magic the pearl held. She quickly reached out again, using her wings to balance with a steady beat. As she wrapped her paws around the pearl, its light seemed to shine brighter, nearly blinding. The Larsuku fell backwards, landing on her backside. She released the pearl in surprise at the light's intensity. Once released, the pearl floated up into the center of the room.
The pearl seemed to morph for a moment, cracking open like an egg. As she observed the strange phenomenon, a rather large pile of flitters fell to the ground below the pearl. As quickly as this event seemed to occur, it ended. The pearl went back to its passive glow, floating back to the center of the room where it had been before she had touched it. Celeste slowly slinked forward, sniffing the pile of flitters before her. She then scooped them up into her paws, tucking them into the small pocket of her ruff. She looked at the pearl once more, admiring its power. The elders were quite amazing to create such a vessel of magic. She began her journey to the cave entrance, excited to show her human the spoils of this cave exploration.
