[Riba-Pt1] Writing/Art
Minako’s mind raced back to the vortex, the swirling circle she’d glimpsed amidst the chaos. Rage had clouded her judgment then, but now, with a clearer head, she remembered the details. She vowed to end Envis Reign's tyranny, to liberate the Ribinas suffering under his cruel magic. She stood confidently, staring ahead even if her ribbon was torn to shreds from her battles with Iniqus. In her eyes, a fierce resolve burned. "I will save my people, my family," she declared, her voice filled with unwavering conviction. "This is my mission."
End of Flashback of Vortex
She now sits in a cage behind a glass wall, staring out at one of the Ribinas that had turned into an Iniqu. She feels deeply sadden by their body now looking distorted and glitched body parts that seem painful to them. Looking away from the Iniqu due to feeling afraid of their bright red eyes and black colored sclera almost looking like a demon to them. She takes a look around the cage she confined in, deep scratches on the glass which she takes not she wasn't the only one here before. Cement covered walls, uncomfortable for her to take a nap on. She winces for a moment as her injured leg starts to release pain just for a moment, reminded about the time she managed to escape when pursued by an Uniqu. Thankfully they took the shackles off her causing more pain, although her magic was useless behind this glass cage. She lays down, slowly closing her eyes drifting off thinking about the calm waters within her home in Evoca Shoal. How she misses that place she thinks reminiscing. All of a sudden she hears a loud clang noise near her confinement. She slowly gets up to look for the source of that sudden noise that disturbed her rest a bit furious. Looking out of the cage stood an Iniqu staring at her rather angry, opening a small window they pushed a small plate of food. Looking down at her plate it seems her meal contains small grains white rice. The Iniqu sneers at her before going back to his spot nearby. Minako hesitantly takes a bite of her food however she finds out it was cold. She decided to eat it despite that, determined to have enough energy to make it out of this place.
Days into her captivity Minako finds herself still remaining trapped within the glass cage. The Iniqu that brought her food grew more accustomed to her presence, their once hostile demeanor softening into a sort of begrudging tolerance. They would often watch her as she paced the small confines of her prison, her mind racing with thoughts of escape. Far into the distance of this place, she hears the cries of trapped victims and what also seems to be disfigured ribinas, remembering the time she saw them trapped behind very small glass cages deep within the caves with only a source of light in their cages creating a haunting image of them.
