New Items, Traits, and a Shop!

It's time to release a bunch of new items and traits, along with a new shop! Hope you all enjoy!

Item Traits

Buy them at the GeneCraft Market - A year-round shop
Fluffalo [2500 Flitters]
You can have Body Fluff or/and Abnormal Fluff

• Body Fluff [Uncommon] - Slightly longer fluff on the limbs, body, or rump that matches the mane or ruff. But if it matches feather mane/ruff, it has to not look like feathers but more like slightly longer flowy fur.
• Abnormal Fluff [Rare] - Body fur appears more curly, wavy, shaggy, etc than typical feline fur types. It can be any fur type you choose.

Reidera [1000 Flitters]

• Body Tassels [Uncommon] - Long Tassels like fur anywhere on the body, head, and limbs. Max 6 tassels.

Tefai Bone [1500 Flitters]

• Spikes [Rare] - Spikes starting on the back and ending at the beginning or the end of tail

Lesie Drops [2000 Flitters]
Choose one of the 3 following options

• Shaped Iris [Rare] - The colored part of your eye is shaped. Can be any shape.
• Multi-Colour Eyes [Rare] - The eyes have at least 3 different colors that don't resemble an existing eye color.
• Color Changing Eyes [Rare] - Eye colors can change depending on mood/season/etc. Make sure to include eye references of all the colors it can change. Max 4 colors.

Vessel Traits

Use a Ribina Vessel in it's rarity and use them for free!

• Overgrown Tongue [Rare] - Oversized tongue sticking out of mouth
• Double Halo [Rare] - Double halos floating above head.
• Body Halos [Rare] - Halos around the limbs/body/tail
• Multiple Wings [Rare] - Multiple Wings, max 6 wings
• Curled Tail [Uncommon] - A tail that curls up and around

From the Community Trait ideas google doc, I chose a couple new traits that are easier to draw and decided to integrate them.
You can now use the new traits for any of your Vessels within the rarity.

Normal eyes is just the new base I am going to use for eyes and not a trait.

This is the third big event where we explore the lore and history of the Orbit’s Lair! It will introduce a new spirit, who lies in the Orbit’s Lair.

Meet Dareth, a servant for the Orbit’s Pearl! 

Dareth's journey took an unexpected turn when he transitioned from being a Ribina to becoming a servant of the Orbit’s Pearl. This transformation not only granted him the powers of Orbit’s knowledge and magic, but also offered him a newfound purpose within the Lair. Despite his humble origins, Dareth now plays a crucial role in the intricate workings of the Orbit’s Lair, fulfilling tasks assigned to him by the Pearl.

However, his newfound responsibilities come with a grave condition: absolute secrecy. Dareth is bound by a strict code of confidentiality, where even the slightest whisper of his duties could spell his exile from Isis Cove. Thus, he navigates his daily life with caution, always mindful of the consequences should he falter.

Though the allure of his past life as a Ribina lingers, Dareth finds himself immersed in his present existence, his memories of his former self gradually fading into obscurity. While the ability to transform back into a Ribina remains within his grasp, the path to this transformation eludes him. It leaves him tethered to the service of the Orbit’s Pearl as his past slips further from his grasp.

Breedings

It’s breeding season time! For the next month, it’s your chance to breed your Ribinas! We’ve revamped our breeding system—it’s now MYO Slot-based instead of staff-based like before. Note that not all items will be compatible with the new system, so double-check which ones can be used. If you have items that don’t work, please submit a ticket on our Discord server or make a claim on the site so our staff can manually roll them and create the MYO slot for you.
Stocking up on breeding items is crucial now more than ever! Let’s bring more Ribinas into the world with this update.

Elders Lair's Changes

Fleala
Original Use: Use on a pregnant Ribina. Skips almost the whole week, leaving just one day before the Raba's birth.
New Use:  Choose one color that differs from the parents for the litter
Old Cost: 5000 Flitters
New Cost: 3000 Flitters

Roswa
Original use: Gives a 30% chance for an unpassable mutation to pass
New use: Reroll the whole litter after it's been rolled. Can only be used once per litter.
Old Cost: 5000 Flitters
New Cost: 6500 Flitters

Ramush
Original use: Gives an extra 10% chance for a passable mutation to pass
New use: Increases the chances to 10% for a mutation to pass.
Old Cost: 2500 Flitters
New Cost: 3000 Flitters

Butterolls
Original Use: Give this to a Breeding Male when he is out of slots, this will make room for one more Ribina. This will only work when the Breeding Male isn't already up for tempting.
New Use: Give this to a male to refill his breeding permission slots.

Lilac Powder
Original use: Increases the chance of a successful breeding by 10%.
New use: Choose any amount of colors that differs from the parents for the litter. You still have to include one color from one of the parents.

I have made the following adjustments to the current traits. I hope these changes can serve a better experience for you. Thank you to the ones that have provided feedback.

Trait Change
Remove Coats
These Coats that have been listed have been removed due to being too specific or not used much, and the ones that aren't on the list still exist. The Ribina amount beside it is the number of Ribinas that had the coat. All existing coats will now have no rarity and will pass like a common trait. It will serve a fun breeding purpose, and you will have more design freedom.

Please know that if your Ribina loses its rarity because of the coat changes, PM me so I can compensate you for adding an extra trait matching the rarity of your Ribina.

Wavy - 15 Ribinas
Lines - 47 Ribinas
Jaguar spots - 4 Ribinas
Grittles - 2 Ribinas

Mutations
All mutations can be passed. It will be passed based on the rarity.
All Ribina Vessels are allowed one mutation in the rarity or below.
Enchanted Ribina Vessels (Only for GAs) are allowed 3 mutations in the rarity or below.

Fertility
Fertility has been removed and during breeding season, you will be required to get Lime Juice for a successful breeding of the Ribinas. More breeding info and rule change will be out during the June event.

Infertile - 1 Ribina
Low - 7 Ribinas
Medium - 18 Ribinas
High - 6 Ribinas

Start on 3/14/24, 12 PM EST

Welcome to the Ribina Design swap! This is an event where you make a design common to rare and submit it to a pool, you will be given a different randomly selected design in return for your design.

Rules:
Do not submit designs you intend to use yourself
All designs submitted will be put into a pool to be given to another person
- Any base used must be credited to the original artist, and not something you found on google with no credit
- Do not trace another person's artwork or steal other people’s designs
- Ribina’s are not allowed to be sold for real life currency, but can be traded/gifted/sold with in-game currency/etc

Requirements
- Join the Discord Server
- Have an account on Ribina Site

How To Join
1) Sign up in ⁠ribina-swap-event [discord channel] to join with your site username and which Ribina Vessel you want. A staff will send you the Ribina Vessel after
2) After you get your Ribina Vessel, you can create the Ribina before the last day of submissions
3) After you are done, submit the design using the vessel and wait for it to get rejected/approved. If rejected, please fix the changes then resubmit until it gets approved.
4) The Ribina will be transferred to Starfruit’s account. The Ribina name will be noted the designer’s name
5) A day after the last day of submissions, the designs will be swapped and everyone will get a random Ribina design. If you never used the Vessel, it will be removed from your account.

- For designing the Ribina, look at the traits and make sure it’s ranging from common to rare depending on the MYO you got
- Can not be identical to an existing Ribina
